What can I say that hasn't already been said -- far and wide -- about last night? I'm running on fumes today but it was so, SO, SO worth it! I love games that make me cry and laugh and scream so loud that I find myself hoping that I didn't wake the neighbors. What a magnificent team effort, and needless to say, I love Coco even more now than I did before the game. Funny thing is, I put on that new sweatshirt 'round about the 3rd inning when things had gotten decidedly Dicey -- had planned to wear it anyway, but was already in my jammies and was too lazy to change until I decided we really needed a boost. By the 7th inning, I had pretty much given up and, wanting to save the lovely sweatshirt for an occasion when I could show it off around town, I took it off and hung it in the closet. And then...
One thing I neglected to mention about the dream I had the other night -- because I didn't want to jinx anything -- was that in the game that my cousin and I were watching, the one where we were playing Philly...we were down to our last strike. When we came back last night I found myself thinking of that little detail. And smiling.
I'm looking forward to the down time tonight so I can be a total slug and get some sleep for a change.
Back to my medical charts. Four hours until quitting time.
