The only good thing about summer is baseball, I swear...it is so damned HOT right now!  Actually, it's only 85, but this stupid house holds the heat and I have no A/C so it's just miserable in here. There go my plans to vacuum (sorely need to do) this afternoon. Got an errand to run here in a minute so will get out in the air, put the A/C on in the car, and maybe that will help.  Funny, it was a lovely morning, just perfect for sleeping in (which I did)...quiet and cool and cloudy until around 11:00 when I finally got my butt out of bed. My time in Eden (to borrow from the 10,000 Maniacs), my time to snuggle with pillows. I had some sort of bizarre complicated dream this morning but don't remember any of it at all, unfortunately.

So...this evening's game is nationally televised -- YAY, even though it's ESPN. As I promised several of my LJ pals, I will be carrying out my assignment to contemplate Jon Lester's butt and see if it moves me. I hope we can avoid a sweep, what more can I say? Other Sox stuff...I'm in a quandary about whether to jump full blown on the "calling for Manny's head" bandwagon. As y'all know, I'm quick to defend players under fire if I have a soft spot for them, case in point, Julio. The difference, though, between Julio and Manny is that while Julio generally can't play his way out of a paper bag, he comes across as responsible, hard working and team oriented almost without fail. Sad to say, Manny is currently made of fail in that regard, and much as I usually enjoy him, even *I* am getting peeved with him now, and I hate when I get down on anyone on our team.  :(

That's it for the moment. I owe a few replies, etc., and will try to get to them if not today, then soon. Always too much to do here!
